I want to make sure that everyone is working from the latest copy of the specification (full copy or individual pages).
Solution
Ensure that each page of printed requirement specification documents include the version number of the overall document. The front page of each specification document should include the version number.
A simple way of achieving this is to add a version number label to the Header or Footer section of the document in your word processor.

It is not uncommon for developers or testers to be working from a full or partial hardcopy of an obsolete version of a specification (another advantage of using a Wiki for authoring specifications, where everyone sees the latest saved version of each page). Providing a version number on each page makes it more likely that someone will realize the mistake before it is too late!
